How To Apply

Below are the items that will need to be included in order to process your application.
|
|
|
- A cover letter indicating how and why you would benefit from a residency
- The application form - two copies
- A two page CV (do not go beyond the page limit) - two copies
- Work samples (these will not be returned) - 10 page limit for poetry submissions; a 15 page limit for all
other writing genres. Please send 4 sets, each stapled, with your name ONLY on the top copy.
- A non-refundable check for $20.00 made payable to "Writers in the Heartland, PFD"
- A self-addressed, stamped postcard which will be your notification of application receipt.

| Some Suggestions: |
|
|
CVs should include education, work experience, important publications, awards.
Writing samples should reflect work done in the last five years; finished work, if
possible; published or unpublished materials. Submissions may represent
different literary forms.
